In its opinion, the advisory committee confirmed the importance of a study about the potential of a digital data system for collection management in combination with the possibilities it offers for parametric exhibition design: ‘Much research has already been done within architecture into parametric design. It is therefore interesting to also investigate how this can be applied within exhibition design. The committee believes that this digital tool can bring innovation to the design process. It expects that the museum sector will be interested in the platform. (…) [the Committee] expects that the start-up subsidy will lead to a project that makes a valuable contribution to achieving the objectives of the Digital Culture Grant Programme’.
