Computational design for architecture, design and construction
From first sketch to construction: StudioFG helps major contractors, engineering firms and innovative architecture firms connect design, engineering and production more intelligently, with parametric design and automation.

In construction, design and engineering still often rely on manual work, repetition and separate software packages. With computational design we capture those steps in smart, reusable models: one change to the design flows automatically into models, drawings and lists.
Parametric design for architecture firms
For architects, parametric design makes it possible to explore and compare variants quickly: facades, roofs, pavilions and complex geometry, driven by rules, data and analysis. With Grasshopper and Rhino3D we build custom design tools, so your team keeps designing while the computer does the calculations.
Automation for contractors and engineering firms
For contractors, structural engineers and BIM teams we connect design to engineering. With the Grasshopper–Tekla Live Link, for example, we create parametric structures, details and part lists directly in Tekla Structures. Repetitive modelling is automated, errors go down and late changes no longer cost days.
From model to production
Parametric models also deliver the data for production: dimensions, nesting, CNC and 3D-print files, and links with databases or Excel. That even makes circular, zero-waste design with a fixed stock of material practical, as in our research into generative assembly.
Knowledge in-house
StudioFG also gives tailored training and workshops, in-house or online, so your team can continue with Grasshopper, Rhino3D and Tekla themselves. Founder Friso Gouwetor is an architect and teaches computational design at TU Delft.
